LeAnn Kymes, along with Krauss were among the Grammy Award winners who were among the youngest. Alison Maria Krauss (born July 23 1971) is an American bluegrass-country singer and musician. As a teenager, she began her journey into the music scene winning local competitions from the age of 10 old and recording her first album when she was 14 years. She signed with Rounder Records in 1985 and recorded her first self-titled album on the label in the year 1987. She was invited to join Alison Krauss & Union Station with whom she performs.
