Anita Ekberg

Anita Ekberg, a Swedish actor and actress who lived in Sweden from in the 1950s and 1970s. appeared in many European films, as well as American films. Her most renowned role was in the comedy drama "La Dolce Vita". The film was both a critical and commercial hit, as well receiving an Oscar at the Cannes Film Festival 1960. Prior to her first acting gig her Swedish birthplace, she was working as a fashion model for international magazines. The model was the winner of her first Miss Sweden competition. Following her move to the US she started acting in films and performing small characters. The film 'Abbott and Costello Take a Trip to Mars She got her first appearance as the role of a Venusian. That same year she received her Golden Globe in the category of "Most Outstanding Newcomer" in recognition of her role in the movie 'Blood Alley. In her long professional career, she appeared in various other movies, such as the film 'War and Peace', which is an American-Italian war movie 'War and Peace', The Western film 'Valerie', The British adventure crime film 'The Man Inside', and the French-Italian thriller 'The Dam of the Yellow River'.
